Largueta Almonds

The Largueta variety of almond is indigenous to Catalonia in North East Spain. They are a bit longer and more flat than the Marcona variety which provides a bit more surface for them to absorb the flavors of the toasting and sauteing that is part of their preparation. Like the Marcona Almonds, they too are lightly salted.

Romanico Largueta Almonds are ideal with a glass of dry Spanish Sherry or sparkling Cava. They are an excellent addition to a fruit and cheese platter, or just for munching on their own.
