According to tradition in Spain, locals eat the quince fruit (membrillo) with Manchego cheese—but it also accompanies cold meats and venison beautifully.
A Potful of Quince by Olitos, a neatly packaged quince jam, is made in a rural farmhouse near Tarragona by an artisan cook named Carmen who grows her own quinces and lemons. The sweet and delightfully floral flavors of this outstanding jam make it an ideal accompaniment to both sweet and savory dishes. Try it stirred through gravy for roast duck, or simply use on a cheese board to complement hard strong cheeses.
