Sugo Antico is a typical old fashioned Mediterranean style pasta sauce made according to Italian tradition with fresh tomatoes and the best quality basil from Liguria. Convenient and ready to serve, it is an excellent condiment for dry pastas such as spaghetti, tagliatelle, or pappardelle. Use it as a base for a wide variety of other sauces by adding a few ingredients such as capers, olives or sautéed vegetables. This traditional sauce can also be used as a “tomato base” for an Italian style pizza. Just add a few slices of mozzarella and fresh basil leaves.
