The Volterra Photo Collection
The old city of Volterra is located atop a mountain that towers
above the surrounding Tuscan countryside. Remarkable, panoramic views
are available from atop the city's old castle walls.
Volterra has been well known for centuries for its fine alabaster
sculptures. The alabaster is mined locally.
Although not terribly large, Volterra has many sites to offer and a
