Bring some zing to your burgers
Vidalia Onion Pesto Burgers Recipe
- 1 pound lean ground sirloin beef
- 1 cup Sweet Vidalia Onion Pesto
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 ounces white cheddar cheese
- 2 burger buns
- 1 cup arugula greens
In a mixing bowl, mix the ground sirloin, 1/2 cup pesto, salt and pepper just until combined. Mold into two generous size patties. Fire up the grill or heat saute pan and cook until rare to medium done.
While the burgers are cooking, combine the remaining 1/2 cup pesto with the 1/4 cup of sour cream. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Cut the buns in half and toast. Layer the bottom bun with slices of cheese, Top with the burger. On the other side of the bun, spread 2 generous tablespoons of the sour cream mixture. Top with arugula.
